Jewelry does wear a great deal, especially rings. These worn pieces will have to be repaired and refurbished to prevent stone loss and damage on clothing or body.

The most common wear is the "grinding" away of the prong material holding your gemstones in place. This wear is especially cumbersome because it can result in the loss of the gems. We restore your settings to their original beauty and functionality.

Under certain circumstances, jewelry will get damaged. Stones are especially sensitive to physical abuse. Hitting a ring against a wall, or sudden temperature changes, can crack a stone.

They say “diamonds are forever”, yes if you do not break them!

Diamonds can be broken and or chipped. Chipped stones can be recut.

These things can happen. If you need true professional care and repair services, bring me your pieces for a competent evaluation of your jewelry restoration.

At A Jour I take jewelry repair and restoration very seriously. Pieces, unless requested differently by the customer, are returned to the customer looking brand new like on the first day you received the piece. Many customers find the pieces looking even better than that.

Please note:
If for sentimental reasons you would like to maintain the old, used and dented look of your jewelry you need to make a request for that when turning in your pieces.

Standard proceeding in our shop is to make your jewelry look gorgeous, like new.

I can not quote repair prices over the phone without seeing your jewelry.
